So in your own logic, only 5% of the 360 fans purchased the game Forza 3 while 3% of the PSP fans bought GT:PSP. Seems to me like these numbers are far from article worthy but they sure do make those wearing fanboy goggles happy...
I speak of others as having differing opinions and your opinion being that which is not the same as the majority does not make the others opinion wrong. You as with so many others call people idiots because they do think like you but I thank God we live on a planet where people can have differing points of view. If we did not then it would be robotic and sheep like. Sorry, but you are starting to sound a bit too one track minded for this discussion to continue. Oh wait, you have no more bubbl...
Especially since some folks have the audacity to mock the game for its clever style of game play. In the end, it is a mature game for mature gamers. Kudos!
Dead Space: Extraction on the PS3 and Sillent Hill: Shattered Memories. Both are good games but the lack of HD was enough to make them less than stellar. I still consider myself an HD fanboy so any Wii game that was as good as these being ported and made to look better on an HD console will be big for me.
I love the whole, "I pay for a game and yet have to pay to play the online portion of it" discussion. People who like to simply play online and play games online with friends find nothing wrong with the simplicity that Sony offers. What they offer is online gaming with friends for free. With Live you get all of that and then some but have to pay. In the end, the free option to get the online portion of a game you already spent 60 bucks on is more appealing to some. If not to you the...
You call millions of people who buy something they like, morons. Then you expect me to take you seriously knowing that yo yourself do in fact buy things you like as well. What does that make you? Does what you like make you a better person that they that bought a song you hate? No, it makes them different but it sure as heck does not make them morons.
In short, your opinion does not make another person less of a person but only shows a difference in what each of you like.
This post smells of insecurity. Why is it that you would need to rush to a Heavy Rain review thread and bring up another game or two? Sure the PC had a great exclusive like Mass Effect 2 but that is no reason to bring it up in every PS3 exclusive thread showing a great review. Let's try and keep the insecurities to a minimum please.
First party exclusivity is understandable. The party can then stress the hardware and show the power it contains but when it comes to third party, they should simply stick to the lowest common denominator and do the best they can with the game making a great and equal experience on each platform.
I know this gen poses an odd issue with the Wii being the low end and od man out but when discussing multiplats, I typically consider the console race this gen between the PS3 and 360...
The crux of the issue is this, more sales for an online heavy game makes for lasting appeal and a lasting online experience. In the end, what will make me a believer is seeing all of you run out and buy BF:BC2 in support and show it too can sell 14 million copies and have the same lasting appeal that MW2 has. If the games were not so online-centric then I might have bought what you said but it is a shallow argument in terms of lasting appeal when the sales of BF:BC were not even close to COD4...
If Modern Warfare 2 is so bad, then why is it that millions upon millions purchased it and millions play it online? It seems interesting how N4G has become an echo chamber about how bad MW2 is but you ask anybody outside of this site and they love the experience they have in MW2. If it is so bad, then why is it so popular?
On the flip side, if BF: BC was so good, then why did it not sell as well as COD4? Are we to expect the same sales for BF: BC2?
Bubbles to th...
It is said that God of War III will beat Uncharted 2 in the graphics department. So the question is actually, will Crysis 2 beat God of War III?
Maybe... Maybe not.
Sorry, but the fact that most BF games have sold less than 3 million, I doubt that those developing MW2 and the content for the future are concerned about it "giving MW2 a run for its money". BF:BC2 will be a good game but it will in no way sell or be played int he numbers that MW2 have been. It's just fact.
Agreed. So in terms of Xbox fans, we should all give thanks to the PS2 for the Xbox 360 having a DVD drive?
In the end, Sony having an online network is the product of time and as with anything else in each of the consoles, it was only a matter of time that they gained these features. Sure you can attribute the implementation of these features towards another console but there is no giving credit where credit is due in the business of gaming.
It is doing what has not been done before and for anybody to dog on the game without taking that into account is purely out of their mind. If you cannot find a gem in seeing 256 players online in a single match then you are missing the point. It may not be my cup of tea and I have not bought the game but I still respect what Zipper has done here and it is awesome to see that consoles now have the capability to run 256 players online at one time and not slow down or crash or even run with horr...
MS is not known for having decent price points for their accessories so it would behove me to see them actually price Natal cheaper than the Arc. Only time will tell I guess.
It was given bad reviews because most of the reviews were done by those that spent only a couple hours in the single player game and never really examined the online portion of the title. In the end, the game is more for the online and less about playing off line.
If I were to list in order from best looking to not-so best...
PC > PS3 >< Xbox 360
It pains me to see that some people feel that exclusivity of a third party game is for the best. In the end, it is best to see more folks get to play the games.
Typically the discussion does not include online features and to be honest, there are no features I can think of that the PS3 does not have that would make the 360 versions better. In the end, online is about playing games online and to most, this is all they need. Both consoles have friends lists and both consoles support invites. The PS3 has the capability to hold games with 256 players while the 360 cannot. Both have there up and downs but I am certain the PS3 is not necessarily holding th...
This is a game that I cannot wait to play. It is a definite day one purchase here. Loved the year old demo and can't wait to get my hands on the finished and fully polished version.
